A little bird told me.....

picked up this new sizzix die yesterday - have birds available to cut on my many cricut cartridges but none are as cute as this one!!
The first card has the sentiment inside, the birdie was cut from bazzill and enhanced with inks.
On the second card the background paper is K and Co 'Urban', branch cut from cricut 'home decor' cartridge on bazill bling, buttons from stash, punched flowers, leaves and notes. Glitter on buttons is fruit punch stickles.

W.O.W. or C.O.C.??

Time for another Wedding Card and this one is for a couple who are getting married on a cruise. - Sounds Fab!!

The spec was 'traditional' and the colours suggested by the purchaser were cream or ivory.

No matter how hard I tried the cream on cream did not look right and just looked like 'dirty white' - so pure white it had to be - but the purchaser loved it anyway - just as well as 'C.O.C' doesn't sound right does it??

Card was D.C.W.V embossed white 12x12 pack, bazzill criss cross, pearls were kaiser and ribbon from stash - again glittered the ends of the ribbon and the hearts with crystal stickles glitter glue - it seems like I use this all the time - L.O.L.! Embellished with a floristry pin with beads from stash.

Hello Kitty!

Enjoyed doing this one today - nice and simple from the cricut cartridge - enhanced with inked edges and stickles crystal glitter glue. Backing paper is Bo Bunny Alissa.

Sweet Peas

Found this long lost stamp yesterday that was one of my first purchases way back when.

Image coloured with pro-markers and copics and has added crystal stickles.
Feel the image is a little 'harsh' and next time will stamp with softer colour, possibly grey.

I have kept the card simple as it's all about the image. The card itself is Bazzill orange peel and the border cut on Martha Stewart small hearts lace edge punch. Have added a floristry pin and threaded with beads from stash.
D.D.1 packed up and went back to University yesterday and now believe it or not have lost the stamp under the pile of stash rubble (or it could be in her case by mistake).

Can't remember the name of the manufacturer but it was definately called 'Sweet Peas' L.O.L.- if I eventually find the stamp I'll put the maker name on here - or can anyone help??
UPDATE - FOUND IT ! AND THE MAKER IS STAMPS HAPPEN INC.

Penny Black Saturday Challenge Week 45

Spent a very enjoyable day yesterday with colleagues from the frozen north at a crop near Durham. This card was the result, as yet again did a lot of drinking tea and chatting! This card qualifies for this week's Penny Black Challenge which was to follow a sketch.

Image is again 'Cheesecake Party' and this is becoming my favourite Penny Black stamps (until I find one I like better)- coloured with combination of pro-markers and copics ciaos.

Papers are Bo Bunny Alissa and Bazzill bling, ribbon and button are Doodlebug, blossom is from Prima. Stickles glitter is crystal. Sentiment was generated on computer.

SUBLIME TO RIDICULOUS

Just wanted to show you the two cards I made yesterday which contrast each other for apparent reasons.

The first is a sympathy card for a friend who's ex mother in law recently passed away- this had to be a subtle and sensitive card. I Chose the cuttlebug 'stylized flowers' embossing folder which was tinted with pearlised chalks, embellished with pearls, mounted onto very pale pink bazzill.

The second card was for my daughter to give to a friend on her 21st birthday and the sky was the limit - hence super colourful and flamboyant. Numerals cut on cricut from Plantin Schoolbook cartridge, embellished with ribbons from stash and doodlebug buttons. All card was Bazzill doodlebug brights.

These two cards show the contrasting celebration of young life and the passing of old.

365 DAY BIRTHDAY

Just a quick post to ask I am the only person who displays my cards in my own home?? - In our house we seem to have a celebration on 365 days of the year in some capacity or other.

When friends and family visit I do get some strange looks - especially when Christmas cards are on display in September (which happened last year).

I usually put my newly made cards on display for a couple of days (incase I decide they need adjustments) and then they get replaced with other newly made .... and so on.....

Am I a bit weird or what?? - My lounge is always jolly and colourful.
Please tell me I am not the only one who does this.!!

Stamp is Penny Black, papers are again My Minds Eye - 'Bloom and Grow', text is computer generated, ribbon from stash, papermania crystal.
Sheep is stamped onto nestabilities large circles then stamped again and mounted with foam squares to raise him off the page. Stickles on the butterfly trail are crystal.
Image coloured with pro-markers.

Hand stitched with embroidery thread.

WILBUR

Found this lovely image earlier today whilst 'blurfing'. He is called Wilbur and is available from http://www.pollycraftdesigns.co.uk/ - just the job when you want a quick card - he comes as both a coloured image and a blank for personal colouring choice.

Card is bazzill embossed through cuttlebug folders, image layered with nestabilities labels and ribbon and buttons are doodlebug.

Oh what a night!!

Just got back from a weekend in London and have to say that this show was the best show I have EVER seen. - http://www.jerseyboyslondon.com/ The fact that we probably had the best seat in the house did help. We were in LOGES 1 & 2 and these are the boxes that hang down from the dress circle just above the stage. I felt like 'her majesty' at a Royal Variety Performance - should have taken my tiara!!

Anyway three days away from crafting is too long and have had a little play today with my new octagons nestablilities and created this little card with frame. Image is Penny Black 'Delights' and paper is from Basic Grey two scoops collection. Stickles glitter is cotton candy. Plain card is bazzill ofcourse. Button and ribbon from stash. Gems are papermania.

Be our Guest!!

Another card for a friend's daughter who is 21 tomorrow - this one is for the friend to give to the daughter and she is a Disney Fan and will be going to Florida for a 2nd visit shortly.

Image cut from 'Dreams Come True' cartridge on cricut and has taken me absolutely ages but well worth it!!

'Chip' is my favourite character from 'Beauty and the Beast' and is here with his mum 'Mrs Potts'
All card is Bazzill.
