LET HEAVEN AND NATURE SING

Absolutely love this image which is from Stampavie - it's a Gillian Roberts image and stamps perfectly every single time. Papers are again k and co peppermint twist - think I may now have used up most of my pad.
Again have used liberal quantities of crushed glass glitter for that frosty look.

Image was coloured with promarkers.

SNOWFLAKES ARE WINTER'S KISSES

This card created with the Spellbinders Fleur De Lys shapeability die. Layered up and embellished with glass glitter and a button added to the centre filled with beadazzles micro beads. Paper is D.C.W.V. pink stack from last Xmas.

sorry about the photo being slightly blurred but light in my house is very poor this time of year and think its also something to do with the dimensions of the snowflake causing autofocus out of kilter.

YOU DON'T BRING ME FLOWERS

hello, long time, no speak!
Can only apologise for anyone out there whose been popping in and checking for any updates, but have been very busy and recently on holiday to the U.S. of A. and still very jetlagged.
Today's card was produced for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge which is song lyrics.
Mine is 'You don't bring me flowers' which was a hit for Streisand and Diamond.
Image is Penny Black 'Whispers' - border punch is new Martha Stewart Art Deco shells (fab) and organza ribbon from stash. Embellished with teeny tiny pearls from Michaels shop (sorry haven't got a manufacturer) but do know that they go everywhere and bounce (all over my craftroom floor)
Backing paper is K and Co:

BUSY, BUSY, BUSY!!

Here are some of the creations from the last week or so.

First up is one of my favourite Penny Black images 'Cheesecake Party'. This time the papers used are Basic Grey 'Cupcake', buttons from the same collection and ticket tag is an old sizzix die. Sentiment created with 'all mixed up' rubons from doodlebug and basic grey 'wholy cow'. Image coloured with promarkers.

Second card is so simple - created using die from sizzix and 'Pretty Please' papers from M.M.E. and matching bazzill cardstock. Button and fibers from stash.

The third card was made with rubber stampede stamp no 2867h - gerbera daisy and is stamped and layered. Papers used are the same as previous. Gave the old sewing machine an outing to create a funky border.

forever friends

one of my colleagues from the frozen north http://www.ukscrappers.co.uk/boards/group.php?groupid=288 showed me how to knit these little flowers and this card is the result. Ribbon was from stash and leaves stamped from a judikins block.

FOOTIE FAN

This card was for my crafty neighbour who adores football and supports Sunderland A.F.C. - I ofcourse have no interest in the sport but hey - each to his own!
- she was ofcourse thrilled with it. I had a chance to use my new kids dymo machine - £1.99 from ebay - a bargain and I intend to use if often for adding text and sentiments.

The shirt was cut from the football cartridge on my cricut - cut two shirts on shadow and cut and pieced to create the stripes.

YEE HAA!!

The spec for this card was Line Dancing for a 70 year old. I tried to make it as feminine as possible as the colours on the boot paper were quite masculine.

The inside of the card had a boot on a spring.

Had this backing paper forever and haven't got a clue who the manufacturer is.
Circles cut with nestabilities, corners are cuttlebug accents, musical notes are a sizzix sizlit.

You wait for a while and then four come along at once!!

Yes, just like a British Bus, you wait and wait and then four come along together!!

Have been a.w.o.l. again as my mother has been seriously ill and I have had very little time for myself or for crafting. I Have found some time to try and relax in the last few days and these are the results.

First is made with the new trimcraft pack of Bloom and Grow my M.M.E and the accompanying decoupage pack. I have hand stitched with embroidery thread and the tag has been added with doodlebug rub ons.
These two were great fun to make with 1" circle pieces of both wisteria and porcelain papers by basic grey - great way of using up the small remaining pieces of projects!

This one was made for a 50 year old lady with a perchant for shopping (especially shoes and handbags) and wine - that was the spec! The card stood up as a tri-fold and the ribbons held it together. The recipient loved this one!

normal service has now resumed!

Hello if there's anyone still out there. I have been on a sabatical - L.O.L. - well actually I have not made any cards for the last month as family and work committments have taken up all my time.

Anyway, have had the chance in the last few days to get down to serious crafting and these are the results...

First one is for a girl who has recently finished taking her G.C.S.E. exams and is a sort of well done, now it's all over, enjoy you prom kind of card. The wording says it all!!

The next card is for a soon to be graduate...

and this one is for a couple about to be married in Mauritius (sounds fab) - didn't want to 'do' a traditional wedding card as it's obviously not a traditional ceremony.

.... and it 's nice to be back in the swing (so to speak)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!

Have been a really naughty blogger this week and not posted since last Saturday. The main reason for this is due to the fact that I haven't made any cards as have been so busy with a few things and life got in the way.(Decorating, job interview and birthday to name them) - Did have some success and purchased this M.I.M.I.craft tote for the princely sum of £39.00 plus p/p. It is second hand but is 'as new' and considering that they are retailing at £118.00 think I got a bargain.

Will try and post this week (life permitting)

This week's challenge called for black, white and another colour.
Nice and simple, no patterned paper today - card is actually a strawberry colour but not photographed very well - is bazzill bling- image is garden poems, ribbon from stash.

FUNKY HAND design call

Well I thought I'd give this a go. Over at Funky Hand they are looking for a new member Saw this call on Kath's blog (love her work). The criteria is to showcase what you think is your best work in this post.

This proved difficult and was not sure which cards to choose. Over time my style has changed (and hopefully improved) so here are a mixture of old and new. Fingers and toes crossed!

Aren't men and boys so difficult to make cards for?? and this was no exception as the recipient is aged 12.

Papers are from D.C.W.V. 12"x12" Rockstar and bazzill bling, guitar, skull and rock text cut from cricut Indie Art cartridge. Other text from cricut Plantin Schoolbook.
Guitar parts glittered with stickles black.
The paper actually looks pink in this photo but it's just a trick of the light.

A girl can never have too many shoes.....

I haven't done one of these for almost a year but was asked to make this for a christening. Quite enjoyed this one....... but don't want to make another for a while as they take FOREVER to put together.
Card was bazzill, alpha cuts from cricut 'New Arrival' , doodelbug heart shaped buttons and ribbon from stash.
The tag has been left blank for the giver to add a personal sentiment.

Monday, 27 April 2009

A little bird told me.....

picked up this new sizzix die yesterday - have birds available to cut on my many cricut cartridges but none are as cute as this one!!
The first card has the sentiment inside, the birdie was cut from bazzill and enhanced with inks.
On the second card the background paper is K and Co 'Urban', branch cut from cricut 'home decor' cartridge on bazill bling, buttons from stash, punched flowers, leaves and notes. Glitter on buttons is fruit punch stickles.

Friday, 24 April 2009

Kick up your heels!

Take a drip down on the farm for this one - image is Penny Black 'The Sensations', coloured with pro-markers and copic ciaos - papers and stickers are from the Basic Grey 'Two Scoops' collection. Button and thread from stash and you guessed - embellished with stickles crystal glitter glue!!

W.O.W. or C.O.C.??

Time for another Wedding Card and this one is for a couple who are getting married on a cruise. - Sounds Fab!!

The spec was 'traditional' and the colours suggested by the purchaser were cream or ivory.

No matter how hard I tried the cream on cream did not look right and just looked like 'dirty white' - so pure white it had to be - but the purchaser loved it anyway - just as well as 'C.O.C' doesn't sound right does it??

Card was D.C.W.V embossed white 12x12 pack, bazzill criss cross, pearls were kaiser and ribbon from stash - again glittered the ends of the ribbon and the hearts with crystal stickles glitter glue - it seems like I use this all the time - L.O.L.! Embellished with a floristry pin with beads from stash.
