CRICUT GINGERBREAD MAN


To add to my gingerbread man obsession found this cut on my paperdolls cartridge (next to mrs clause) and is a very cute man as he is quite chunky and cuddly. Bakers twine and ribbon from stash - eyes are card candy.

.... and some more!


First up is card created with loooooveeelly image from Lily of the Valley - penguins are soooo cute! - papers are MME colourful christmas.
Next is traditional card created with inkadinkadoo text stamp and various foliage punches including branch from Martha Stewart. Ribbon from stash but looks very dark and is actually green - bad lighting on photograph.



.... and mr gingerbread man has turned up again - this time complete with buttons and twine - verrry traditional - text is doodlebug stickers. This time he is mounted on a spring.

Another ginger bread man from the Anna Marie designs cd this time complete with candy cane - this is not an edible cane l.o.l.!!- icing courtesy of white gel pen - looks realistic doesn't it??

One image, three different cards.#
First up is MME papers, stamp is from Stampavie - mounted onto spellbinders die.
Second card uses basic grey eskimo kisses 6x6 papers and christmas round stamp from cats life press.
Third card uses bo bunny christmas paper and poinsettia die from marianne - ribbon from stash. Sentiment stamp is also from catslifepress.

oooh errr i'm back!!




It's been a while - life has been busy but will promise myself to blog more frequently - it's not that I haven't been card making - just not found the time to blog them!!


These cards are both made with templates from Anne Marie designs.
Papers on robin card are Basic Grey eskimo kisses. Text stamp is from Cats life press. Robin is mounted on a spring for movement.
Gingerbread card backing paper was made on the computer by inputting a gingerbread recipe. The full recipe is also written inside.
This is a great alternative christmas card. Icing is created with white gel pen. Inked around the edges with cocoa and bronze versacolour ink to create that 'just baked' look. Buttons and eyes are craftwork cards card candy. He is mounted onto a spring and moves about when touched - fab!! (you can't catch me I'm the gingerbread man) l.o.l.!!

hedgie on a daisy


Another Penny Black image - this time is from a clear set. Paper are cosmo cricket - have used spellbinders die and tim holtz flower die and doodlebug simply sweet rub on font. Image coloured with promarkers and stickles ice glitter glue added.

Another train card for a baptism - love this layout - engine and carriage numbers are relevant to the little boy with d.o.b. and date of christening and weight of baby all noted.
Pieces all cut from New Arrival cricut cartridge - embossed with cuttlebug folders and inked - card was all bazzill. Texture added to grass and clouds with chalks. Text is again doodlebug all mixed up font.

This is the first time I have entered this challenge and it was a pleasure as it was to follow this sketch.
Image created with one of the new lili of the valley christmas stamps. Papers are My Minds Eye Merry Days of Christmas and sentiment is K and Co peppermint twist which matches these papers perfectly (although the colours on the photo don't seem right)

This card was made with stamps from the stamps from the lapashe rang 'flippin men' - It takes me back to My childhood when we lived in a colliery house and bathed in a tin bath infront of the fire and had no inside loo!! -Oh Happy Days!!

Made these three cards this week - lili of the valley images are my favourites at the moment. One wedding was all co-ordinated in cream/brown and the other was teal - hence these two. The other card is a ruby wedding card cut on the cricut with celebrations cart - split and tiers added to make it look more like a wedding cake.

IT'S ALL ABOUT THE DRESS!


This is a card for a friend's daughter who will be celebrating the end of her exams and prom this Friday. Dress has been coloured exactly the same as the actual and includes a small amount of fabric removed from the original that is surplus to requirements.

marianne's ribbon border punch


Image is lili of the valley again, coloured with promarkers - paper came free with magazine this month - is my minds eye - ribbon threaded through new marianne's border punch - is embossed but not showing up very well on the photo

80 YEARS YOUNG




This card was made for a Sunderland Football fan who is celebrating his three score years and 10 and 10 more this weekend. Tomorrow is also my own mother's 80th birthday. This makes me feel quite middle aged!!
Football frame, shirt and boot all cut on cricut with soccer cartridge. Shirt was cut twice and then sliced to make stripes (as authentic as possible) Numerals were chipboard coloured with promarkers and glittered with diamond stickle glitter glue.

school's out for summer!


This is a great card for a teacher at the end of term.
Love this card, so easy and effective. Bought these chocolate ladybirds a couple of weeks ago but didn't know how I was going to use them. Paper used is making memories - but you could just as easily use a4 lined paper. Distressed with tonic distressing tool. Text is large doodlebug rub-ons 'all mixed up' and sun created with kwik cutz sunshine die. Fred the spider and fingerprint my own - l.o.l.

Next up is Stampavie stamp. Papers are doodlebug from last summer and bazzill bling. Text is lili of the valley set of text stamps.

The last card is put together with Basic Grey Wisteria paper and bazzill plain. Border created with cuttlebug swirls folder. All ribbon and buttons from stash. All stickled within an inch of their life. Text other than 'special friend' created with doodlebug rub-ons 'all mixed up'

PENNY BLACK SATURDAY CHALLENGE WEEK 104

The task this week was to create a card with SWIRLS - this is for my daughter who will be graduating from the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama on 6th July. It will be a Ta Da moment!!

Backing paper is from Piggy Tails, pink card is Bazzil, swirls are a sizzix die, image is one of the new slapsticks from Penny Black (obviously). Text created on the cricut with Plantin Schoolbook font.

PENNY BLACK WEEK 101


Either of these two cards will qualify for this week's challenge to use flowers. Easy Peasy!!
Don't know what has happened to my camera but believe it or not the froggy card has fuschia pink paper and colouring but seems to have come out looking rather purple.
Papers for both are from cosmo cricket 'delovely' mini deck. Crystals applied using prima stencil. Both images coloured with promarkers and copics.

lili of the valley again!!


Found some nice large 8x8 card and envelopes in my local craft shop at a decent price and make nice large cards with plenty of space to create on!! - Love this lili of the valley image. Blooms made with new marianne designs die, centres were small flowers purchased in the U.S.A embossed with cuttlebug folder, tinted with promarker around the edges and glittered with stickles crystal glue. Greenery is Martha Stewart fern punch. Papers are D.C.W.V. Image coloured with promarkers.

TOOT TOOT!!


These three images make up the card for a forthcoming christening. The numbers on the engine and the wagons are made up of information about the little boy. His date and time of birth and his weight and also the date of the christening itself. Engine and wagons were cut from bazzill on the cricut and then put through cuttlebug folders to give texture. Inked around the edges for more definition. Buttons are by doodlebug. Text created with large doodlebug rubons - 'all mixed up' Gingham ribbon is from the papermania capsule collection.

PENNY BLACK SATURDAY CHALLENGE 100


This card is for this week's Penny Black Challenge which happens to be celebrating it's 100th week. Hence the sketch layout depicting the number 100 ofcourse!!
Image coloured with mixture of promarkers and copics. Daisies layered up with silicone glue. Text is doodlebug rub ons 'all mixed up'. Border is a Martha Stewart small hearts punch.
Papers are from D.C.W.V. sweet stack and bazzill. Charm picked up in Michaels on recent visit to Florida. Tule purchased from local fabric supplier. Image stickled with crystal glitter.

THREE AT ONCE






Bit like a bus.... three all come at once...
Elephant card is made with a sizzix baby die cut on bazzill, inked around the edges to emphazise and blushing cheek added with chalks. Knot tied with embroidery thread. Border cut with a Martha Stewart punch.
2nd up is another Lily of the Valley image which is so sweet. Image coloured with promarkers and copic ciaos. Mounted onto nestability die cut. Ribbon from stash. Text created as always with doodlebug all mixed up rub ons.
Last card created with newton bear cardmaker cd. Backing papers are Rock Star from D.C.W.V. Brads purchased in the U.S.A - sorry don't have the manufacturer name. Insert created by stamping with making memories large foam alphabet and musical notes created with small punch.

squiggle again!!


This is another 'new home' card made with this fabulous digi image from squiggle stamps. It can be resized to own requirements and used as many times as you like. Image coloured with promarkers - mounted onto nestability. Papers are D.C.W.V citrus but are much more vivid in real life - camera does not show depth of colour. Border is Martha Stewart picket fence, flowers punched. Key and ribbon from stash.

WHERE HAS ALL THE TIME GONE?


This one was created for a friend who has just retired from teaching. Images created with a set of Kelly Pannici clear stamps.
Papers used are the new Tim Holtz distressed 12x12 pad and D.C.W.V. linen closet. Spinners used to create clock hands were also Tim Holtz.
