Make a Wish!!

Spent a few lovely hours in Harrogate yesterday at the Great Northern Paper Extravaganza and gave the plastic an outing !!

Got the new nestabilities Octagons and Scalloped Octagons and also Large labels and Inverted scalloped circles. Have been waiting of the Octagons coming into the country. Going to have a play with them later today.

Also picked up this Penny Black Stamp - 'Cheesecake Party' - have been trying to get this for a while but seems to have been out of stock everywhere.

Created this for a good friend's daughter, image coloured with both promarkers and copics (bought some of them yesterday also!) cut from mega nestabilities. Love the bright, sharp colour combo. Accents are Sizzix flower and vine die, numerals cut from Plantin Schoolbook cartridge on Cricut and border edge is Martha Stewart small hearts. Cake dusted with Diamond dust and stardust stickles.

Ooh la la !!

This is a favourite card of mine - done this twice now!!
Background papers are pink petticoat 'Lolas Boudoir'- text cut on cricut from Stone Script cartridge with Bazzill card, stamp is 'Beaded bodice' from Stampendous on Bazzill again embossed with black powder, embellished with crystals from papermania. Feathers and ribbon from stash.

Penny Black Challenge Week 42

Was going to post this card last night but the light was poor and then checked the challenge this morning and hey ho!!! qualifies for this week's challenge - can't believe that happened - I must be on someone's wavelength!
Image is 'Fantasy', enhanced with flower soft and stickles -mounted onto Bazzill Core-denations card using nestabilities, background paper is Basic Grey - ribbon and button from stash.

I actually dropped the whole tub of pink buttons on the floor yesterday afternoon looking for this particular button - two minutes to find and fifteen minutes to pick the rest off the floor !! -Surely I am not the only one who does this??

Chocolate candyfloss

Another card made with a clear stamp from the new Papermania 'Daisy and Dandelion' range.
Image coloured with Letraset Pro-Markers. This little cutie is 'Candyfloss' and she is good enough to eat. Lots of candy and chocolate colours here, very strawberries and cream - This is a perfect Easter Bunny!

Papers are Basic Grey Bittersweet, and Bazzill bling.

Marshmallow is here!

Bought a set of clear stamps from the 'Daisy and Dandelion' Papermania range - this little fellow is Marshmallow - his cousin is Candyfloss. Have decoupaged his nose and his daisy. When I photographed this earlier today the sun was shining into my lounge and has created a mini rainbow onto his tummy.
Image coloured with promarkers from Letraset - papers are Martha Stewart Playful range - embellishments are Sizzix daisies cut from die and Painterly Petals from Prima. The border is Martha Stewart zig zag emboss punch. Ribbon is from stash.

Penny Black Challenge Week 41

Really enjoyed this one - mind you, it took me all day, but that was because I was at a chat and craft with my fellow colleagues from the 'Frozen North'.- Too many nice interruptions of chatting, tea, sandwiches, cake and stash shopping!!

The spec this week was 'doodling' so added some faux stitching, complete with little knots.
The pop-pom ribbon is so ornate that the card really doesn't need anything else!
Papers are Basic Grey 'Sultry' and Bazzill co-ore-denation and image is 'Baby Hammock'
Image was coloured with prisma pencils and sansador.

Easy peasy lemon squeezy!

Was just playing around last night and made the easiest card ever - just a trellis pattern embossed on a scorpal and flower embellishments from punches with edges inked. Text is cut from Wild Card Cricut Cartridge. Border edges are Martha Stewart doily lace and small heart punches. Button and ribbon from stash.

Frankie says relax!!

Unfortunately I am of an age that I can remember that song and the controversy it caused at the time, although I never had the 't' shirt! - Due to it's lyrics it was banned by Auntie Beeb from the air and TOTP - needless to say this caused it to rocket to number one!!

anyway........
Image is Penny Black 'Floating Dreams' and papers were K & Co 'Small Wonders' 12" stack with text from Paper Pups cricut cartridge, buttons from stash. Used my new mega nestabilities and scroll is from the Sizzix flower and vine die.

Mr Blogger being naughty!!

Just to say that if you intend to leave a comment or add a comment for the Blog Candy entry, can you please check back to ensure that it has indeed been added (after moderation) as apparently Mr Blogger is being awkward and some comments are going missing. I have no control over this and appears to be a global problem.

Thanks Eliz

Blogaversary Candy

Right, have just checked and it's almost a year since (14th April) since I started blogging and displaying my cards. Original blog was here at http://www.mustgoonastashdiet.webs.com/ but recently came over to Blogger because was having so many problems.

Am going stash shopping today and will make some purchases in order to offer up some candy to celebrate. Really enjoy bloghopping and drawing inspiration from others and have enjoyed the last year chatting to all those at www.ukscrappers.co.uk -especially those in the cricut common room and in the frozen north.

Will pop back to add the candy and instructions for potential winners.

May the force be with you!!

Created two cards for twins ( boy and girl) who are 6 - he is into the 'Clone Wars' cartoon with Anakin. For this one I had to do some Star Wars research. The photo does not do the card justice because the light in my lounge this evening is very poor. He is complete with raggy ponytail and rather square shoulder pads and of course his light sabre. The figure is from the Cricut Paper Dolls cartridge and the clothes were adapted. The background paper was created on the computer just repeating the narrative with different fonts. I have used this idea before when I just couldn't get anything else that fitted the bill.
Tinkerbell is also from my cricut, complete with glittery wings (as fairy's should be!!)

Recipe for relaxation

Another new stamp for me, and used it to create this card for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge Week 39 here : http://pennybfriendssaturdaychallenge.blogspot.com/

This week's task was to create a card with a recipe of 3 brads, two ribbons and one flower. The papers used were Basic Grey Sugared - brads were 'fake' and are card candy and rik rak ribbon from stash.

Have your cake and eat it too!

Penny Black Saturday Challenge Week 38 - http://pennybfriendssaturdaychallenge.blogspot.com/
Just in time for this - been poorly this week with a dreaded tummy bug and have emerged from my sick bed today just in time for the postman to deliver new stamp..... 'Your Birthday'.
Have sold some unused craft stuff this week and just had to replenish the stocks with this one...

The papers were bought from QVC about two years ago and must confess haven't got a clue who they are from, card candy from craftwork cards, ribbon from stash.

Heard you've caught a bug!

Had fun with this new Penny Black stamp 'Sweet Catch' and seeing as though spring is in the air have tailored it to Spring colours.
Inside reads 'Get Well Soon!'
Used Martha Stewart papers - Playful Blue Paper Pad(bought in the U.S.A.) - these were an absolute bargain from Walmart, painterly petals blooms from Prima, bazzil basics yellow and ribbon and buttons from my stash. Punch is again Martha Stewart - embossed zig zag.
