This card was easy peasy - image created with new do craft honey and hugs stamp and striped paper. Other card was Bazzil. Border created with sizzix embossing folder and Martha Stewart eyelet lace border punch. Ribbon and pearls from stash.

This card created for this week's Penny Black challenge which follows a sketch. Upon looking at the sketch closely it appears I am slightly off- sketch (so to speak) as my right side embellishments appear to be not quite in the right place - ah well, must have been blinded by the colours.

Papers are D.C.W.V. citrus - image is Penny Black Garden Poems. Border created with Martha Stewart flower shower edge punch. Corners are cuttlebug die. Central panel paper rubbed over with Tim Holt ranger worn lipstick ink. Image embellished with glossy accents and stickles.

This is just so different to any other baby cards out there. Card is D.C.W.V. sugar stack. Image coloured with promarkers and copics.

one image, how may different ways??

I have been playing about with one of my favourite Penny Black images and came up with these.

First up uses one of the new Joy Designs cutting dies. It also embosses and have used coredinations and rubbed back with an emery board to show the daisy design. Border created with Martha Stewart eyelet lace punch. Flowers are Prima and centre flower coloured with promarker to match image. Crystals are papermania. Text created with doodlebug rubons.


Secondly uses Basic Grey Sultry papers and Nellies square die.


Lastly papers are D.C.W.V. latte - and is very unusual for me as I don't do green very often if at all. Image mounted onto new Nellies die. Pearls and ribbon from stash.

and some more....

been very productive this weekend and came up with these....

first up is popcorn with flower - this image lends itself to dl card shape and kept it very simple. It is nice to get back to basics sometimes and back to the old matting and layering with lots of whitespace.

Second up is a well used image from me - 'cherish' from Penny Black using up some old bazzil and Basic Grey wisteria. It's nice to make small cards to make full use of small scraps.

Last card is again 'Cherish' but in easel form with just two colours and no patterned paper. Uses Martha Stewart eyelet lace punch around the page.

PIG - TASTIC!!

This card was a special order for a work colleague's daughter who had reached the ripe old age of 10. Image scanned from her favourite book called 'The Pig' - very like 'The Dog' where all the images are very close to the animals head (almost as though they had bumped into the lens. Image then printed on photo paper and trimmed. The photo does not do the card justice as again light very poor at the time of taking the photograph. Piggy paper from Papermania hugs and honey collection. Text created with doodlebug large stickers. Ribbon and buttons from stash.

large easel card

This card is for a work colleague for their sister. Have purchased some tule (net to us commoners) and wrapped this around and tied in a knot. Papers are my minds eye ooh la la for her. Wooden butterfly was purchased from ' Dainty Toys' in a pack of 10 for the massive sum of £1.05p. Have inked over the original colour to tone with this card. Sentiment created yet again with doodlebug rub-ons 'all mixed up'.

DUNELM MILL FLOWERS

Saw these gerbera in Dunelm Mill last week for the grand price of .89P. You can pull the flower apart and use the petals separately and one flower could make a few cards. centre brad from stash. Tag created with doodlebug rub ons. Paper was small amount from stash and haven't got a clue whose it is - unless you can tell me ofcourse!! Swirls are a sizzix accent die.

POPCORN GETS MARRIED

Picked up this stamp on Monday and just had to have a play. Coloured with promarkers and copics (tried to ensure that there was plenty of movement in the fur). Veil embellished with crystals. Border punch is Martha Stewart Valentine lace edge - text created with doodlebug rub ons (all mixed up)

NO CALORIE CAKE

Image is a Hero Arts cling stamp. Embellished with card candy (looks just like chocolate buttons!) stickles and bugle beads. Image was paper pieced with D.C.W.V sweet stack and bazzil. Border punch is Martha Stewart small heart.

You can eat one of these any day not just on a no calorie Friday!!

PENNY BLACK VALENTINE 2010

This is my entry for this weeks Penny Black Saturday Challenge which is 'Valentines' - image is 'Weight of love' and papers are Bo Bunny. Border punch is the new Martha Stewart loopy heart just received all the way from the good old u.s. of a.

MORE PENNY BLACK

Haven't published for ages and it's not that I haven't been cardmaking, just that every time I go to take a photo it's too dark and picture quality is soooo bad!!

Had my Penny Black stamps out again and these were the results.


First up is one of my favourite images and the reason is that it is soooo easy to colour.
Papers are from D.C.W.V. sweet pad - border punch is Martha Stewart.

Second up is my first easel card and was made for a work colleague who is retiring. This will hopefully be her in the garden in the summer finding time to relax.

Papers are again D.C.W.V but this time Butterflies and Blossoms.

BE MY VALENTINE 2010

Have had a lovely excuse to lock myself away this weekend and craft - just like a lot of other people have been unable to get the car off the drive and leave the house - so - these are the results.

Image is Penny Black 'snuggle' and paper is my minds eye wild asparagus - key and heart charm from whiff of joy - hearts are cuttlebug.

LET HEAVEN AND NATURE SING

Absolutely love this image which is from Stampavie - it's a Gillian Roberts image and stamps perfectly every single time. Papers are again k and co peppermint twist - think I may now have used up most of my pad.
Again have used liberal quantities of crushed glass glitter for that frosty look.

Made this calendar last year and have looked all over the house and can't find it anywhere - need to either a. - find it soon (seeing as though it's the 7th today) or b. make another !!

and the lowdown on me

1. In the 80's my husband and I lived in Sandbach in Cheshire for 4 years where my dd 1 was born.

2. My body tells me each day that I am all of my 48 years, however in my head it is still 1976 and I am 15. (remember the fabulous hot summer that year?)

3. I love yankee candles and my favourite is vanilla cookie.

4. I am the slowest eater in the world and my family say this is due to my talking during meals (me no!!)

5. My favourite restaurant/cafe is in Florida and is called 'Panera' - they do the most fantastic sarnies and salads and it just happens to be next door to Michaels store.

6. I hate football with a vengance!

7. Music has played a huge part of my life and both my daughters play instruments.
